MapmyIndia partners with Pioneer India Electronics

MapmyIndia, the provider of digital maps, GPS navigation and web mobile location apps has entered into partnership with Pioneer India Electronics. As part of this association, Pioneer’s new in-car entertainment system AVIC-F60BT will feature state-of-the-art MapmyIndia navigation. This system also comes equipped with Hybrid Navigation solution – CHIPS (Common Hardware for Integrated Positioning System), which is powered by MapmyIndia Maps, India’s best digital maps is an integral part of this new premium offering.

Speaking about this new association, Rakesh Verma, Managing Director, MapmyIndia says, “MapmyIndia’s comprehensive and accurate navigation will now come built into Pioneer’s high quality entertainment system. With best of navigation and entertainment, this will be an unmatched combination and a matter of delight car travelers across India.”

The new feature will offer a customised UI which will make sure that the travelers are able to seamlessly switch from in-car entertainment to MapmyIndia’s true-to-life navigation featuring – house address level data, 3-D & 2D landmarks, junction view (images of major junctions), advance lane guidance and much more. This will further strengthen the promise of best-in-class AVIC – Audio, Video, Information and Communication made by Pioneer India Electronics.

The maps of MapmyIndia are hugely becoming popular as they offer localised maps along with voice navigation. They also provide a detailed and updated coverage for 10.54 million unique destinations (Points of Interests), expanded coverage of over 2 million kilometers road network, 7068 cities at street level with house address level data for 80 cities, 600000 villages and 3D & 2D landmarks in 86 cities.
