Messe Muenchen India Postpones SmartCards Expo
Trade Fair organizer Messe Muenchen India has decided to postpone the SmartCards Expo due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the consequent travel restrictions imposed by the Government of India.
The show was originally scheduled from September 22-24, 2021, at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru.
The show will now be conducted from December 16-18, 2021.
Bhupinder Singh, CEO, Messe Muenchen India, commented, “Owing to the restrictions enforced by the Government of India on travel and on-going Covid vaccination drive, September is no longer a viable option to organize SmartCards Expo”. Singh added that the health and safety of everyone involved in the trade fair is their prime concern. For the upcoming edition, the postponement of the expo will allow ease of travel for everyone which will attract more visitors and exhibitors at the expo.
“It is good to know that Messe Muenchen India has postponed the SmartCards expo to December, this decision will ensure the safety of all stakeholders involved. We completely support the decision and look forward to assisting the industry through this trade fair; said Nakul Pasricha, President, Authentication Solution Providers’ Association.
The decision of postponement is taken for the safety of visitors, exhibitors and stakeholders. It is also based on the industry’s feedback received through the advisory committee, association and extensive survey conducted by the organizer.
New innovative participation options such as online and hybrid exhibitions have been added as part of the digital strategy. This will provide exhibitors and visitors with an opportunity to connect with their customers from around the globe.
