MTS trumpets its entry into surveillance security service

New Delhi: Telecom operators Sistema Shyam Teleservices, which maneuvers under the of MTS brand, declared that it is entering into the remote security surveillance segment with the launch of an Internet-based solution in partnership with D-Link.

“MSecure launch makes MTS the first telecom operator in the country to offer video surveillance solution bundled with the MBlaze Ultra WiFi Dongle,” MTS India Chief Marketing & Sales Officer Leonid Musatov alleged in a statement.

The company from its barrio is offering MSecure products for Rs 6,000 and Rs 9,000 with day and night vision.

 MTS announced it is entering into the remote security surveillance segment with launch of an Internet-based solution in partnership with D-Link.

By way of this solution, MTS will afford D-Link wireless camera that will in turn connect with MTS WiFi network in 100 meters range after initial settings.

User will be able to access live videos through these cameras over his mobile phone or personal computer. Both the camera will have mic and speaker for user to listen and speak through the camera from a remote location that is.

The higher priced package will offer camera with storage capacity of up to 32 GB on memory card installed inside it. This camera arrives with technology that will automatically clear storage once the memory is full for fresh recording.

The data services supporting camera function can also be used for accessing Internet on mobile or computer using WiFi network that the MTS device will create.

Buttressed with MSecure, MTS cleaves in to Indian residential surveillance market which as per an IMS report was estimated to be around USD 1.7 million in Fiscal 2012 and is expected to grow to USD 7.1 million by Fiscal 2016 with a CAGR of approximately 45 per cent.

The company from its barrio has 9.8 million customers at the end of Fiscal 2013.
