NASDAQ OMX goes into alliance with Catelas
Catelas (R) from its barrio has entered into an alliance with NASDAQ OMX to be able to offer Catelas compliance, followed by risk monitoring, and investigations solutions to corporations, broker-dealers, exchanges and regulators as a complement to, or integrated with NASDAQ OMX’s SMARTS.
“Catelas’s patented relationship and behavioural algorithms automatically uncover and assess the relationships and networks that underpin how business gets done. This allows the analyst unprecedented visibility across email, IM, chat rooms and social media, quickly isolating key communications, allowing the analyst to cover more ground in considerably less time,” alleged Eddie Cogan, Founder & CEO, Catelas.
By way of combining the Catelas’ solutions with NASDAQ OMX’s SMARTS trade surveillance platform, clienteles globally will be able to investigate trading alerts by uncovering the relevant people, relationships and communications associated with an alert. Users from their end will have the ability to visualize internal and external relationships, monitor for behavioural risk and significantly reduce the investigative time per event by focussing efforts quickly. Automatically correlating trades with people and what they say will allow compliance officers to see the complete picture on a single screen for the first time. The benefits stand as- a more efficient process and a far more robust compliance and supervisory programme.
