Mobily, a leading telecom provider in Saudi Arabia, has signed an agreement with Ericsson to enhance the quality of services Mobily offers to its customers.
As part of the agreement, Ericsson will be responsible for managing Mobily’s IT operation services, first-level end-user support, information systems and applications, and infrastructure management services. This includes business support system, network support systems, customer support systems, and other tasks.
The agreement was signed in Saudi Arabia by Ahmed Aboudoma, Mobily CEO, and Rafiah Ibrahim, President of Ericsson in the Middle East and Africa.
Commenting on the new collaboration, Aboudoma, Mobily CEO, said, “The agreement underscores Mobily’s commitment to Saudize information technology, boost investment in the digital economy, transfer knowledge and experience in the field to the Kingdom, enhance national cadre skills, and highlight Mobily’s relentless drive to offer the latest technologies to its millions of customers as well as demonstrate its commitment to providing the best-in-class service.”

The joint Mobily-Ericsson project includes Business Support System (BSS), network and customer support systems as well as more than 100 technical applications and 2,000 IT infrastructure servers spread across several data centers.
