The Finnish company Nokia has announced the appointment of Rupa Santosh as head of Nokia Networks Technology Centre. She will be taking care of the center and development site for Nokia Networks globally, as well as an employer of choice within the local ecosystem.
Speaking about the appointment, Sandeep Girotra, Vice President and head of India Market, Nokia Networks, said, “Rupa brings over 20 years of experience in telecommunications network research and development having performed diverse roles and managed products within Nokia. She brings in exceptional understanding of the telecom industry. Her experience will further strengthen Nokia’s research and development functions globally and for our operations in India”.

Rupa brings along two decade of experience in telecom software development where she has successfully delivered several large-scale, multi-site projects in complex technology areas. The Bangalore centre of the company is one of the largest in terms of R&D and also contributes to the key product development in telecommunications networks.
