Now Protect Semiconductor Devices from Switching Surges

“CSLZ series” Zener diodes from Toshiba protect semiconductor devices from switching surges, induced lightning surges, and electrostatic discharges (ESD). This lineup has 10 products having Zener voltage (typ.) ranging from 5.6 V to 30 V.

ToshibaThe new CSLZ series protect semiconductor devices from ESD in the order of nanoseconds, switching surges in the order of microseconds to milliseconds, and over-voltage close to DC. By using the ultra-small package SOD-962—whose mounting area is 0.1984 mm2 (typ.)—for the first time for Toshiba‘s Zener diodes, the products have reduced their footprint by about 85 % compared with Toshiba‘s current products using the SOD-523 package, allowing high-density mounting on equipment.

The products contribute to the effective use of circuit boards and higher reliability of equipment.
