NTT DATA signs ERP solution contract with Daimler
NTT DATA revealed that it has bagged a multi-layer contract with Daimler for global ERP support services. As per the agreement, NTT DATA will look after the Shared Services Centers of Daimler in Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India (MBRDI) Bangalore, and Mercedes-Benz Türk, Istanbul, to provide application support service for ERP templates.
Speaking about the deal, Naoshi Yoshida, Head – Global Automotive and Enterprise Sales, NTT DATA Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, said, “We are extremely excited to have been chosen as a preferred technology partner for Daimler. With this contract, we will be able to further scale up and accelerate our presence in the APAC markets, strengthen our client base in India, enhance our expertise and business knowledge of Automakers and other manufacturing industries. The term of the deal will cover all template-based applications including operations, basis and development services.”
Along with this, Sanjeev Welling, Vice President, India Business, NTT DATA Global Delivery Services Limited, India, added, “Our skill sets and understanding on the project ensured this win. As this large-sized project will have India as a major hub, it would help us expand on our Indian footprint adding to numerous job opportunities and bringing in technological advancements within the country.”
NTT DATA will offer support for the ERP applications within Mercedes-Benz working in close collaboration with MBRDI, the Turkish and the Americas operations. The team will cover all template-based applications including Operations, BASIS and Development services.
