NXP’s i.MX RT106S Crossover Processor Now at Mouser

Mouser Electronics has recently started stocking the new i.MX RT106S crossover processor from NXP Semiconductors.

Mouser Featuring an advanced implementation of the Arm® Cortex®-M7 core, the NXP processor from Mouser offers the high CPU performance and real-time response required for embedded local voice assistant applications as well as the Internet of Things, smart industrial, and smart appliance applications.

The NXP i.MX RT106S processor, now available at Mouser, is part of the EdgeVerse™ edge computing platform. The processor runs at up to 600 MHz and features 1 Mbyte of on-chip SRAM and support for advanced multimedia in GUI and enhanced HMI applications.

The MX RT106S processor is licensed to run NXP’s collection of turnkey voice assistant software solutions, providing engineers with a range of capabilities and features such as a phoneme-based speech recognition engine. The processor boasts low-power performance in addition to real-time, low-latency response as low as 20 ns.

To support designers who want to quickly and easily add voice assistant capabilities to new product designs, Mouser also stocks the NXP SLN-LOCAL2-IOT Solution for Local Voice Control.

Featuring an onboard i.MX RT106S processor plus automatic speech recognition engine supporting more than 100 voice commands, the SLN-LOCAL2-IOT Solution avoids cloud-based computing to provide a privacy-first solution for offline voice assistants.

The SLN-LOCAL2-IOT Solution offers a cost-optimized reference design and production-ready software development kit to reduce time-to-market and development effort.
