This is the leading annual awards event for CEE Business Services across Central Eastern Europe. The event was attended by executives from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia and Moldova, representing a total of 129 companies.
A total of ten companies, including onsemi, IBM and Western Union, were shortlisted for the ‘Best University-Business Cooperation of the Year’ category.
onsemi is very honored to be named the eventual winners of this category, reflecting the importance they place on collaboration with the academic sector.
In Slovakia onsemi has actively engaged with the technical facilities in many top Slovak universities, creating strong relationships.
This includes the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Zilina (FEIT UNIZA) and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (FEI STU).
Following an agreement with the University of Zilina, onsemi located its workplace at the university back in 2017 to further develop the interconnection between academic research and practice.
This enabled the support of electrotechnical education and skill development. In return, onsemi benefitted from direct access to the most talented students and university employees to support real-world designs.
