Oracle to cut the ribbon of its 10th Product development Centre in Gujarat
To helm the Make in India Initiative and encompassing its business and infrastructural corridors; Oracle to establish its 10th Product Development Center in Gandhinagar in Gujarat International Finance Tec City (GIFT). Prior the company has centres in Bengaluru, Hyderbad, Mumbai, Noida, Pune and other emerging cities.
The company has more than 30,ooo workforce globally in its product development and invests approximately around $ 5 billion every year.
Commenting on its extensive plans Thomas Kurian, president, Product Development, Oracle said India employs Oracle’s second largest workforce of developer and engineers, making it one of our most important product development centers across the world. The talent here and the work the teams are doing have played a very important role in helping our customers transition to the Cloud.
Thomas Kurian added, “We want everyone in the world, as long as they have a web-browser, to be able to run Oracle software, without the need of a datacenter or major investments in hardware and software. We firmly believe there is a great opportunity to work with these firms and help them create a successful business path for themselves.”
Oracle Cloud will focus on services across software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), and data as a service (DaaS). Last month, 32 billion transactions were made on its cloud platform.
Tata Sky, MakeMyTrip, Jabong, Tech Mahindra are the affluent companie using Oracle cloud platform.
