Pickering Interfaces Launches High-Performance Next-Gen PXIe Controller
The next-generation model (43-920-002) of a revolutionary PXIe embedded controller, developed by Pickering Interfaces in the UK, offers double the processing capability of its predecessor and greatly improves performance. The controller is a small, single-slot solution for the PXI express platform that is made to enable high-bandwidth test and measurement (T&M) applications. It satisfies the requirements of systems that are prepared for the future.
The most potent 3U single-slot controller available is the current one, which was developed based on the business’s prior model. A 2TB m.2 Type B SSD, 64GB DDR4 RAM, and an eleventh generation Intel Xeon processor are all included. It effectively supports 10GB ASE-T and high-speed PCIe Gen4 interconnectivity, with system throughput up to 28 GB/s in 4-link or 2-link configurations. Lee Huckle, chassis product manager at Pickering Interfaces, stated, “Our new controller combines capability and cost-effectiveness, making it the most compact and powerful 3U embedded controller available in a single-slot form factor for the PXI express and CompactPCI express platforms.”
The controller is designed for complicated testing scenarios that need high data throughput and reliability, making it perfect for engineers and researchers in sectors including electronics, telecommunications, automotive, and aerospace. Its seamless integration into current systems is ensured by its compatibility with the company’s PXIe chassis, including the most recent 21-slot fully hybrid variant. Additionally, it guarantees strong performance for demanding applications by adhering to the PXI-5 PXI express hardware specification revision 2.0.
This latest development demonstrates the company’s dedication to providing modular signal switching and simulation solutions that are future-proof for electrical testing requirements.
