PM to Inaugurate First Semicon India 2022 Conference
The Semicon India 2022 Conference will be inaugurated by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi through a Video Conference on 29th April 2022 at 11:00 AM.
The first Semicon India 2022 Conference is to be held from April 29 to May 1 in Bengaluru. The conference has been organised under the India Semiconductor Mission. With an agenda to make India a global hub for Semiconductor Design, Manufacturing, and Technology Development, the government has announced this conference.
The theme is ‘Catalyzing India’s Semiconductor Ecosystem’.
The vision of this Semicon India 2022 Conference is to position India on the Semiconductor map of the world and build a vibrant semiconductor innovation and manufacturing ecosystem.
The Semicon India 2022 Conference will be inaugurated by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi through a Video Conference on 29th April 2022 at 11:00 AM.
The Conference brings together global leaders from Industry, Academia and Research Institutions.
The Steering Committee for the conference includes a mix of Startups, Academia and Global Industry Leaders demonstrating the Government’s collaborative approach to powering India’s semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ambitions.
The conference serves as the formal launch pad of India’s semiconductor strategy and policy which envisions making India a global hub for Electronics System Design and Manufacturing.
Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, Railways and Communications; Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship; Sanjay Mehrotra, President & CEO, Micron Technology; Anirudh Devgan, President & CEO, Cadence Design Systems; Siva Sivaram, President, Western Digital; Vivek Sharma, MD, ST Microelectronics India; Prof. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras will be the key speakers for the Conference.
