Prabhakar Jayakumar to be the new India Country Manager for DigitalOcean
DigitalOcean announces to have looped Prabhakar Jayakumar as its new India Country Manager. Taking charge, Prabhakar will strategically encompass DigitalOcean’s offerings to foster the local startup ecosystem.
He will be responsible for building localized go-to-market strategies to increase DigitalOcean’s awareness and actively be looking at securing partnerships and building key relationships with developers in the community.
The leadership advancements are asserted to come amid its first datacenter launch in Bangalore this summer.
Stating in a release, Mitch Wainer, Co-Founder of DigitalOcean said, “We’re incredibly excited to have Prabhakar lead our go-to-market team and support the rapidly expanding startup ecosystem in India.”
Commenting on his appointment Prabhakar Jayakumar said, “India is experiencing a technology and startup boom like none we’ve seen before. Software developers and startups have been our focus from the beginning, and we’re looking forward to catering to the needs of these exciting next generation cloud businesses and developer projects being born in India. Prabhakar is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore and NITK Surathkal and comes with rich industry experience. Prior to joining DigitalOcean, Prabhakar was associated with Amazon where he was responsible for building Amazon’s businesses in India. Prabhakar also comes with entrepreneurial experience, having co-founded a startup in the social networking and social commerce space.
