ROHM Introduces New Design Calculation Tool for ICs
As ICs become more multifunctional and complex, so too does the design of peripheral circuits.
ROHM has launched new calculation tool that supports the configuration of peripheral circuits for both DC/DC and AC/DC converter ICs.
This helps reduce the design load for the initial stage of component selection along with external constant design.
As ICs become more multifunctional and complex, so too does the design of peripheral circuits.
AC/DC Converters:
Use this to calculate coils, transformers, and other peripheral components for flyback and buck converters.
ICs together with primary components such as Schottky barrier diodes, fast recovery diodes, field capacitors, transformers, and other peripheral parts are contained in a database that allows for sorting and fast selection.
DC/DC Converters:
Automatically calculates the theoretical equations for peripheral circuit design listed in the datasheet (in Excel format), determines if the design is out of scope, and even creates a BOM list. Entering the constants obtained here in our free online simulation tool (ROHM Solution Simulator) makes it possible to verify the operating waveforms. SPICE models are also available for users with simulation tools.
