Samsung introduces Android printers at IFA 2014

The South Korean giant Samsung has introduced a complete range of printers powered by Google’s Android operating system at the ongoing IFA 2014 event. The product lineup includes 10 new Smart MultiXpress printers, which are designed to be used without a PC. The printers consist of a 10.1-inch touchscreen display that can be used to search and print from web browsers, emails, maps, images and other types of content.

The printers also come with NFC connectivity and are compatible with the Samsung’s XOA printing platform and Samsung Cloud Print. This will enable the users to print the documents remotely from tablets and smartphones. These new printers from Samsung will allow the business users to have faster document processing speeds thanks to the processors that are up to 1.5 times faster than those in previous models.

Apart from this, the printers also provide longer lasting toner and drum technologies and the company has made them more reliable with lowering the total cost of ownership.  These smart printers from Samsung come under four categories like -X4300 series of A4 Colour MFPs, K4350 series of A3 Monochrome MFPs, M5370 series of A4 Monochrome MFPs and the M4580 series of A4 Monochrome MFPs. However, the company has not revealed anything about the price and availability of the printers.
