SAP Veteran likely to join Infosys
According to a report by Bloomberg, a SAP veteran Gordon Muhel was leaving his current position to join Infosys. He joined SAP in 1998 as a developer and went on to foster cooperation among SAP and other business-software providers to share more information about the security of open-source software. It is been speculated that at Infosys he will become the vice-president and will work on business development and customer technology products.
The report suggests that, “For seven years at SAP, Muehl reported to Vishal Sikka, who took over as Infosys’s chief executive officer (CEO) in August 2014. Hiring Muehl is a further move by Infosys to inject software know-how into a company best known for contract programming and technical support.”
However, none of the companies commented about the report. Sikka joined Infosys last year. After this many of the officials joined Infosys, such as Michael Reh, a former executive vice-president at SAP, joined Infosys soon after Sikka assumed the role of the CEO and managing director. The other names in the list include Abdul Razack and Ritika Suri, Sanjay Rajagopalan and Navin Budhiraja.
