Sapient outdo Business Needs with NetApp Hybrid Storage Solution
Sapient announces that it has deployed NetApp’s hybrid storage solution to its existing private cloud technology. The data management solution from NetApp leveraged significant cost savings and enable Sapient to achieve maximum flexibility of its shared storage infrastructure with secure multi-tenancy.
Sapient’s datacenters hosts both client development environments and in-house applications. Prior to NetApp, Sapient faced a plethora of challenges when the rate of clients requesting for hosting services increased. The company’s former storage solution was not adept to meet the growing business needs that Sapient was witnessing.
With NetApp hybrid storage solutions, Sapient got efficiency in data agility and volume replication with added software like the SnapMirror, FlexClone and SnapManager to build a Virtual Infrastructure and better monitoring of the storage systems.
Commenting on the improved uptime, scalability on ‘OnLine Transaction Processing’ OLP and ‘On Line Analytic Processing’ OLTP environments, Rajan Puri, Senior Manager IT & Global Infrastructure Lead at Sapient said, “We were on DAS storages and the challenge was to move critical financial business applications, which cannot afford any downtime and requires real time data-sync.
