Xilinx announces that its Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC family was chosen winner in the SoC and Programmable Logic category at the recent 2016 Innovation Awards, organised by Italian magazine Selezione di Elettronica.
The accord is known to recognise the most innovative electronic and microelectronic devices – Xilinx asserts to have achieved an industry milestone with its Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC devices which provide 64-bit processor scalability while combining real-time control with soft and hard engines for graphics, video, waveform, and packet processing.
Extending the recognition, Laura Reggiani, editor in chief of Selezione di Elettronica, said, “I am very honored to have been able to deliver to Xilinx this important prize in this seventh edition of our Innovation Award. Xilinx has always been in the forefront of innovation and with this new line of devices, it opens the doors to tremendous applications, such as Embedded Vision (ADAS) and Industrial Internet of Things”.
Built on a common real-time processor and programmable logic equipped platform, three distinct variants include dual application processor (CG) devices, quad application processor and GPU (EG) devices, and video codec (EV) devices, creating unlimited possibilities for applications such as 5G Wireless, next generation ADAS, and Industrial Internet-of-Things.
The Innovation Award Gala was hosted on 6th October in Milan.
