It has been seen that of late Shopify is gaining immense popularity with 5,000 merchants operating on the platform provided by the company. In order to double the number of merchants the company has to achieve the target of 10,000. The company is planning to involve more and more retailers to complete this plan. Presently, the company is supporting local merchants by offering them free consultation for running their online stores. Along with this the company has also invested a lot in enlightening the SMBs for running successful e-commerce workshops.
The platform provided by Shopify is combined with local payment gateways like PayU, Direct pay, Citrus Pay and also all the major credit cards. Moreover the merchants can also receive payment for their products with through money order, bank deposits and COD. The company is further planning to simply the payment process by adding EMI facility.
