STMicroelectronics took part in the special edition of the International Conference and Exhibition of Smart Card Technologies and Applications, which was held in a hybrid format in Dec 2021. ST has been a long-term world leader and pioneer in smart card systems and software for e-payment applications and meets the most demanding customer requirements with future-ready solutions.
During SmartCards Expo – 2021, ST under the theme, ‘Long term sustainable and innovative partner’, ST had hands-on virtual demos on smart card systems and software for e-payment application and NFC reader + tag applications.
The Nordic semiconductor giant also focused on the growing secure and interoperable banking applications, especially in emerging countries which is witnessing an increased need for comprehensive system solutions.

Biometric System-on-Card solutions: Secure and easy-to-use based on ST31N platform, this innovative authentication technology is suitable for PIN less operations like contactless payment, access control, and health cards which do not require any card-holder verification.
ST4SIM: ST offers a tailored, diversified connectivity portfolio with ST4SIM solutions, a wide range of SIMs and embedded SIMs (eSIM) compatible with the IoT, industrial- and automotive-grade applications. ST25 NFC tags and readers that are ideal to design an advanced, integrated NFC Reader+Tag solution: The ST25 Reader+Tag solution is already widely deployed in the market.
