Strata Clean Energy Named as 2021 Best Employer

Strata Clean Energy has been recognized as one of the 2021 Best Employers in North Carolina.

Strata This program, created by Business North Carolina and Best Companies Group, was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers that benefit the economy, workforce, and businesses throughout the state. The list is made up of 57 companies.

“It’s common to see our employees dedicating their own time to the surrounding communities,” said CEO Markus Wilhelm. “At Strata, we recognize the importance of community and offer all employees paid time off to volunteer their time with causes close to their heart.”

To be considered for participation, North Carolina companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity;
  • Be a publicly or privately held business;
  • Have a facility in the state of North Carolina;
  • Have a minimum of 15 employees working in the state of North Carolina;
  • Must have been in business for a minimum of one year

Companies across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the 2021 Best Employers in North Carolina.

The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics, with the second part consisting of an employee survey to measure the overall employee experience. The Best Companies Group analyzed the combined scores to determine the top companies and the final ranking.

Strata Clean Energy and its employees recognize the importance of clean energy and being stewards within the communities they serve.

The company, formally named Strata Solar, has recently rebranded under the new name, Strata Clean Energy.

The rebrand represents the company’s commitment to the proliferation of clean energy products by providing more safe and reliable renewable energy options-especially for large, utility-scale energy consumers. The new name, and this award, represent a major milestone in the company’s history and highlight its commitment to a clean energy future.
