SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications Exclusive on Amazon Web Services

SUSE announces the availability of SUSE LinuxEnterprise Server for SAP Applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Through SUSE’s “bring-your-own-subscription” program, customers can use their existing subscriptions to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications to develop and test SAP workloads on AWS. As a result, customers benefit from flexible AWS infrastructure that matches their changing needs while using the leading Linux platform for SAP solutions.

This solution gives customers the ability to run SAP workloads on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server on AWS for development and testing while providing fast, flexible access to the AWS Cloud,” said  Naji  AlmahmoudHead of Global Business Development for SUSE. “AWS provides the on-demand, highly reliable and scalable cloud computing services that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Working with AWS, SUSE is committed to providing expanded and better alternatives to help enterprise customers be successful.”

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications on AWS also includes a technical preview of high availability resource agents for deployments of the SAP HANA platform. These agents allow HANA instances to failover between AWS availability zones.
