Symantec appoints Shrikant Shitole as its new India MD for enterprise security business

Security software solutions firm Symantec Corp has appointed Shrikant Shitole as new Managing Director for its enterprise security business in India. Shitole will be responsible for driving growth of the company by developing business strategy.

Shitole takes over from Sanjay Rohatgi who has been promoted to the post of Senior VP for Symantec’s Asia Pacific and Japan sales.

Shitole has over 25 years of vast experience and prior to joining Symantec, he was the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Nelco (Tata Enterprise) responsible for sales, marketing and product management. He also worked with companies like Avaya Services and Cisco and played senior management roles across several enterprises in the IT and telecom segment.

As far as his qualification is concerned, he is a MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from Walchand Institute of Technology.
