After marking its successful presence in automobiles, airplanes and numbers of products, now Tata Group is planning to manufacture semiconductor.
This announcement has been made by Chairman of Tata Group, N Chandrasekaran. This statement he made after seeing a severe shortage of semiconductors, hitting automobile businesses.
If we see the condition of semiconductor in India, so India is fully dependent on other countries and post COVID condition has made the situation worse. Semiconductor has been used in numerous ways, like in fuel pressure sensors, digital speedometers and navigation displays. The manufacturing of semiconductor will require hug investment, which India doesn’t have yet.
Tata Motors has also shared that its subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover would make a huge loss in the coming quarter due to lack of semiconductors in the UK.
