Tech Data With Intel Team To Help MSPs Build New Security Specializations
Tech Data (TECD) in association with Intel will now help managed service providers (MSPs) to build new security-centric revenue streams with the launch of ‘Intel Security Managed Services Specialization Program’.
With this initiative, qualifying MSPs in the United States can access the program’s features and tools directly through Tech Data’s StreamOne Solutions Store to rapidly develop new revenue streams around managed security services.
“With high-profile data breaches making headlines over the last year, there’s a heightened focus on security today—and this creates new opportunities for MSPs to grow their businesses,” said Stacy Nethercoat, VP, Product Marketing, TDCloud at Tech Data. “Combining this Specialization with our comprehensive security portfolio and expertise enables partners to create a service offering that is highly efficient, profitable and scalable.”
According to Tech Data, Partners will have access to pay-per-use pricing, access to security products, and upfront discounts on solutions to maximize profitability through the program.
“At a time when security solutions have never been in greater demand, our relationship with Tech Data enables us to deliver world-class managed security services,” said Fernando Quintero, VP of Channel Sales in the Americas at Intel Security. “Our consistent, global security framework can be scaled through distribution, providing partners with access to broad, advanced security protection available via a monthly subscription-based, pay-as-you-go model.”
The Intel Security Partner program (previously the McAfee Security Alliance Program) enables corporate resellers, solution providers, and distributors to deliver best-in-class security solutions.
This program will be accessible through Tech Data’s dedicated Intel Security team for partners or solution providers, so that they can access updated training, education and enablement tools to enhance their understanding on company’s security portfolio and supplement their knowledge about Intel Security technology.
It’s worth mentioning, earlier, Tech Data also announced a similar agreement with security solution vendor Barracuda Networks (CUDA).
