Tech Mahindra signs five year deal with Finnish company Ahlstrom
Tech Mahindra has inked a five year IT deal with Ahlstrom a Finnish company. As per the deal Tech Mahindra will undertake about 50 employees of Ahlstrom. The deal basically centres around the IT services and also include certain parts of the infrastructure management and application development services. However, the company has not revealed any details of the financial terms but the contract is accounted to be around $50 million.
Rajesh Chandiramani, Tech Mahindra’s head of enterprise business for Continental Europe, stated that, Finland is a very important and strategic market for us. This agreement will help us in building our innovative service offerings for the customers in the region. The transfer of employees as per the agreement will take place around the month of December.
Tech Mahindra earns one third of its revenue from Europe and employs about 2,900 people. The firm is planning to expand in the continent and is also aiming to bag more deals in Europe. The company believes that Europe is a strategic market for the company and it also earned $3.2 billion in 2014.
