Tektronix with Keithley Present DAQ6510 and DMM6500

Tektronix has initiated the availability of native integration between the Keithley DAQ6510 and DMM6500 instruments with Initial State. This integration provides users with important, easy-to-use features such as remote monitoring, triggering, streaming and data sharing-all without an external software or PC.

TecktronicsKeithley and Initial State, both Tektronix companies, worked together to make Initial State’s data streaming and visualization platform compatible with the Keithley DAQ6510 and DMM6500 devices.

This software was developed as a service platform for monitoring, test and data streaming applications and is able to process data securely in real time for interactive loT displays. The speed of the system, the remote access and the ease of use make it possible to analyze data immediately without the need for additional software. Now users can monitor and analyze measurements remotely in any browser – including on mobile devices.

“Our metrology customers are increasingly running lengthy lab tests to collect large amounts of data,” said Chris Bohn, vice president and director, Keithley / Tektronix. “This data typically needs to be very accessible and quickly converted into actionable information. Two Tektronix companies, Keithley and Initial State, worked together to meet these needs.”

To meet these needs, the software can automate triggers and alerts based on incoming data so that data collection can proactively send an email or text message based on rules set by the user. The dashboard can also routinely share large data sets by embedding live data on a website. Data can be downloaded and saved for personal use and documentation or securely shared with colleagues or partners.

The software is compatible with the DMM6500 digital multimeter, which has a 6 1/2-digit resolution and a touchscreen, and has an extensive measuring range, including transient acquisition, data visualization and analysis. It is also compatible with the DAQ6510 multimeter specifically for data acquisition, which also has a touchscreen interface that enables faster set-up time, real-time monitoring of the test status and detailed data analysis on the device.
