One of the leading telecom operators Vodafone has announced that it has been rated as the best Machine to Machine (M2M) communication provider in the world. This is the fourth consecutive time when Vodafone has received this honour based on the rankings of independent research by Analysys Mason.
Speaking about the same, Morgan Mullooly of Analysys Mason, said, “Few global operators provide M2M services at the highest levels, which made it difficult to identify an exceptional operator. Vodafone manages the greatest number of connections, which is the most unambiguous metric of scale and execution. It also has leading partnerships, network capabilities and clarity of vision, among other remarkable attributes.”
On achieving the top rank, Vodafone director of M2M, Erik Brenneis, said, “I am delighted that our strategy, vision and scale of deployment have kept us in pole position for a record breaking fourth year.”
The Analysys Mason M2M Scorecard offers an independent and in-depth analysis of the features and capabilities of the world’s leading M2M communication service providers. Each provider is judged on the basis five criteria incorporating scale and execution, technological enablement as well as customer support and aftersales support. Vodafone is the only service provider which scored the top rank in all the five criteria.
