Toshiba to Sponsor at 2021 Inside Quantum Technology

Toshiba America has decided to participate as a vertical sponsor of “Quantum Networking and the Path to the Quantum Internet” at the Inside Quantum Technology (IOT) event on November 1-5.

Toshiba Toshiba’s sponsorship further cements its commitment and investments in quantum technology.

The Inside Quantum Technology Event, which is the largest ever event devoted exclusively to quantum technology business, consists of a high-caliber in-person and online program of keynotes and panels providing the latest information and analysis from the rapidly evolving quantum technology industry.

Toshiba’s presentations will include the following sessions:

  • Sponsor Keynote: Enabling the Quantum Internet of the Future – Taro Shimada, Corporate Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer, Toshiba Corporation
  • Fiber versus Satellite in Quantum Networks – Andrew Shields, Head of Quantum Technology for Toshiba Europe, will join Moderator Dillion Cottrill, Senior Associate Analyst at IQT Research and Cordell Grant, CEO, and co-founder of QEYnet, in an open discussion

Toshiba, the world leader in QKD patents, is working to develop a global platform for quantum information technology based on decades of scientific research on quantum physics.

The company has introduced two new QKD products, which both represent ground breaking innovation: one product achieves the longest distance currently available, and the other product broadens the potential uses of QKD technology by transmitting keys and data on a single fiber.
