The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has given extended time to the stakeholders to reply about its consultation paper on ‘’Definition of Revenue Base (AGR) for the Reckoning of Licence Fee and Spectrum Usage Charges’. The regulator has extended the period of response on the request made by the stakeholders asking for additional time of two weeks. The stakeholders require this time to complete the discussion among them so that they can resolve the issues and take a unanimous decision.
Acting to their request the regulator agreed to extent the last date for submission of written comments to 15 September and for counter comments, if any, to 22 September. TRAI has also stated that there will be no change in the date of the Open House Discussion on the consultation paper which is scheduled to be held on 1 October in New Delhi. The regulator introduced the consultation paper on 31 July, 2014 and invited comments till 1 September and counter comments by 8 September.
