UST Global enters into partnership with Actifio
UST Global has entered into partnership with Actifio to develop new applications by utilizing the existing server, storage and networking resources. As a result the company will be focusing on producing more agile, resilient and cloud-like IT operation for organization leveraging UST’s new service platform.
Speaking about the partnership, Rakesh Patel, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Sales at UST Global, said, “till now, storage solutions have relied on the purchasing extra hardware that could never guarantee increased efficiency. Through our 360-degree partnership with Actifio, we’re enhancing the customer’s experiences of storing, protecting, and accessing data, while decreasing costs for these services. We’re allowing the companies to focus on efficiency rather than on investing financial resources on hardware.”
On the other hand, Ram Shanmugam, VP Cloud Services, Actifio said, “We share UST Global’s passion for helping enterprises deliver more efficient IT operations which can transform how business is done. By making these new services widely available, UST’s customers can now experience what hundreds of Actifio’s users have known for years – More data doesn’t need to mean more infrastructure, cost and complexity.”
As a result of this joint product development contract two new UST Global Centers of Excellence will be set up in India and Mexico, and UST Global will form a new global practice around Actifio’s copy data virtualization platform. UST’s branded Managed Storage Portfolio takes advantage of the power of Actifio’s data virtualization platform to support UST’s full range of new data management services, which include rapid application development and testing, simple managed storage services, fast disaster recovery solution, complete application-centeric backups and efficient active archive.
