VMware introduces EVO: RAIL in India


VMware the leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure has announced the availability of EVO RAIL for the Indian market via its authorized partners. The EVO RAIL solution from VMware is a hyper-converged infrastructure appliance that helps IT organizations streamlines the installation and scale-out of software –defined IT infrastructure at the speed of business. Dell, EMC and HP have announced the availability of their VMware EVO RAIL solution in the Indian market.

Speaking about the same, Arun Parameswaran, managing director, VMware India, said, “VMware and its Qualifies EVO: RAIL Partners are bringing the simplicity of consumer appliances to the world of enterprise infrastructure. VMware EVO: RAIL is a new building block for software-defined data center environments that takes the guesswork out of building, deploying, scaling and managing software-defined infrastructure services. Our customers and partners in India have been very excited about the immediate value VMware EVO: RAIL offers them.”

The solution form VMware is targeted at the mid-market and enterprise segments, and includes VMware vSphere, VMware SAN, VMware vRealize Log Insight, and the new EVO: RAIL engine- all integrated with hardware from customers preferred Qualified EVO: RAIL. It will simplify appliance deployment, configuration as well as on-going management, patching and upgrading of the software.
