Vuclip opens first R&D center in India
Vuclip has announced its expansion ad has opened a new research and development (R&D) center in Pune. This is the first R&D center of the company in the country; the other two centers are located at Silicon Valley and Beijing. This new center comprises of a unique mobile lab supporting 8,500 different mobile devices from over 200 manufacturers and is designed to reflect the company’s high energy, transparent, fun and engaging culture.
Talking about the expansion, Nickhil Jakatdar – CEO & Founder, Vuclip, said, “The technology and consumer demands for mobile video are rapidly evolving and we need sharp minds and nimble feet as we innovate. Pune presents a perfect blend of both experienced technology professionals and an abundance of bright, dynamic and raring-to-go fresh college graduates making it a go-to city for technology companies around the country to call their home. Having grown up in this city, Vuclip’s presence in Pune would give me a chance to give back to my alma mater – University of Pune as well as an opportunity to guide young minds.”
The center will focus on research, innovation and development and the on demand subscription services. The company will hire 100 engineers in the next 12 months including college graduates.
