W. Victor Gao Joins Executive Leadership Team of Arrow Electronics

Arrow Electronics has recently announced that W. Victor Gao has been named to its executive leadership team as senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

Gao reports to Michael J. Long, chairman, president and chief executive officer, and leads Arrow’s global brand, customer experience, communications, and corporate social responsibility.

He also serves as strategy leader for Arrow’s digital and platform business.

Prior to Arrow, Gao was vice president of digital for Yell Group plc, a spinoff of British Telecom and Telefónica, based in the United Kingdom. Previously, he served in various leadership capacities at Microsoft and Yahoo!, and spent 14 years in the EMEA and the Asia-Pacific regions.

“Since joining Arrow in 2015, Victor has played an instrumental role in helping our suppliers and customers expand their businesses,” said  Long. “I look forward to Victor’s contribution as a trusted advisor to the company and me in his expanded role.”
