WD launches new personal cloud storage solutions for SMBs

Western Digital has rolled out the launched My Cloud EX2 and My Cloud EX4 devices in the country. The My Cloud EX2 and My Cloud EX4 systems are part of the My Cloud family of personal cloud solutions. These are designed to fulfil data storage needs of creative professionals, prosumers, workgroups and anyone looking for a reliable way to save, share, back up, stream and manage massive amounts of digital data.

Talking about the new launches, Khalid Wani, Director (Content Solutions), India, Middle East and Africa, WD, said, “SMBs and small offices/home offices (SOHOs) in India are increasingly becoming aware of technology and its implications in advancing their businesses and gaining competitive advantage. The My Cloud EX series features WD Red hard drives powered by NASware 3.0 technology, improving drive reliability and protecting customer data in the event of a power loss or disruption for ultimate reliability in the unique 24×7 NAS operating environment. Along with this, the WD Red hard drives feature 3D Active Balance Plus, an improved balance control technology that significantly improves overall drive performance and reliability.

The My Cloud EX2 and My Cloud EX4 devices enable the customers to easily install or quickly hot-swap drives, without the need for a screwdriver, toolkit or trays. Both My Cloud EX2 and My Cloud EX4 devices come with a two-year limited regional warranty and are available through company’s IT channel.
