Wipro Digital to host ‘Code the Future’ event engaging Digital Programming Aspirants

Wipro Digital, the digital business unit of Wipro Ltd. will host a day-long coding event – ‘Code the Future’ on Saturday, July 11, 2015. The event will engage the digital programming aspirants to develop mobile and web-based applications. The twelve-hour event will be held at Wipro’s campus in Electronics City, Bangalore.

This coding event invites the members of the developer community, students of programming and experienced coders and all innovators who aspire to design technology. The event aims to encourage developers to create innovative applications that can be integrated with digital solutions that are being currently used in industry sectors such as e-commerce, healthcare, transportation, logistics and others.

The objective of the hackathon is to develop creative and innovative web and mobile applications that are futuristic and which will enhance or offer a superior customer or user experience.

Rajan Kohli, Senior Vice President & Global Head – Wipro Digital said, “One really good engineer is better than several average developers working together; and a team of good engineers can create magic. ’Code the Future’ will serve as a platform for digital programming aspirants to showcase their creativity and design thinking. Hackathons demand a combination of creativity, technical and business skills, as well as team work to solve challenges and thereby, give us valuable insights into potential talent. Besides they are a fun way of inspiring innovation among young people.”

The first three winning teams will be accorded with exciting prizes that include tablets, mobile phones/ Kindles and quadcopters. Wipro Digital also plans to use the platform to spot talent and evaluate their potential and fitment for future hiring.
