Yahoo in talks to procure online video service NDN
As per the latest headlines, Yahoo from its barrio is all set to make yet another procurement. Going by the reports doing the rounds, Yahoo is mulling to buy an online-video service News Distribution Network (NDN). Yahoo from its quarter is speculated to pay $300 million for closing the deal.
NDN is a video streaming service with over 550 million video views. Even though it doesn’t make any videos on its own, it has a collection of 100,000 videos uploaded by different users about news, sports, politics and other topics.
Market experts do believe that the latest procurement will assist Yahoo to swell its video offering to numerous fresh sites, which can further create opportunities for marketers to work with Yahoo. Here, it will be worth noting that it is not the first time when Yahoo is planning to buy a video streaming enterprise. Previous year, Yahoo was rumoured to buy Dailymotion (a French video-sharing website).
Nevertheless, it is difficult to approximate anything for now as the spokesperson of NDN has denied any such talks. Therefore, till then the industry awaits the official statement for the same.
