Zebra Technologies Wireless LAN Business Worth $55Mn Now a Part of Extreme Networks

Extreme Networks announces to have acquired Zebra’s wireless LAN (WLAN) business for $55 million. Expected to close in the Q4 of 2016 and Q2 of fiscal 2017 for Extreme Networks, the known all-cash transaction strengthen and expand Extreme Networks’ end-to-end, wired and wireless software-driven networking solutions and complements its vertical market focus.

The acquisition is sought to reposition across wide-range of market which includes hospitality, education, healthcare, manufacturing, state and local government markets and also into added new verticals such as retail, transportation and logistics, and broader hospitality, creating additional opportunities for growth.

The Californian hailed Networking Company  asserts to continue its invest in the newly acquired technology which will bolster the company’s software-driven solutions portfolio which includes ExtremeWireless, ExtremeManagement, ExtremeControl, ExtremeAnalytics, ExtremeSwitching and ExtremeCloud.

Extreme will acquire customers, personnel and technology assets from Zebra and will cater the complete portfolio to Zebra WLAN customers.
