ZTE and TCIL to forge Innovations into India’s Smart City Initiative

Just after the Govt announce the projected 98 smart cities blueprint, ZTE and TCIL comes under a strategic alliance to drive the smart city solutions in India in line with Government initiatives & ICT solutions for Indian Railways.

Adhered to the dream ‘Smart City’ initiative, ZTE Corporation, well-known for its telecommunications equipment and network solutions will provide technology innovation, superior products and business solutions to the potential customer.

Talking on the alliance, Pang Shengqing, senior vice president of ZTE and head of the Enterprise Business division, said, “The people-oriented strategy means that we can no longer only rely on technical expertise, but must better understand customers to find out which local industries are in urgent need of improvement, and then bring value and new experiences to customers through the use of new technologies.”

ZTE has led Smart City construction in over 140 cities of 40 countries and is not only a leader in the establishment of Smart City standards and construction of smart cities at home, but also an important participant and promoter in global Smart City construction.

ZTE shall take advantage of the PPP Mode recommended by the State Council and the Central Ministry , in which the government provides guiding funds, and support policies and cooperate with operators and social resources to construct and operate Smart Cities, said Dr Philip Liu, CEO ZTE INDIA

ZTE’s LTE/GSM-R system supports multi-layer backup mechanisms, such as network-layer backup, link-layer backup, and board-layer backup, providing high reliability of a single device and avoiding single-point failures in the network, ensuring a reliable and smooth railway communication network.

ZTE is pleased to partner with TCIL for Railways Solutions,” said Dr.Philip . “We are confident that our GSM-R / LTE-R will provide reliable communications and scheduling for Indian railways.”
